I am strong,
I am worthy,
I am beautiful,
I am imperfect,
I AM ME.

Sometimes I think we get so caught up in what
society wants us to look like instead of the image we were created to be,
ourselves. I will not be like everyone
else, I will be different.
My journey first started when I became depressed and
decided to comfort myself with food. I started to gain weight in my stomach,
couldn't fit my favorite pair of jeans and was completely stressed. I started
to stare at myself in the mirror and cry. I was treating my body like I didn't
care about myself. I had the impression
that it was okay to eat everything even if I knew it was bad for me. I became
self-conscious and had low self-esteem to where I would try not to take photos
of myself. The more I became depressed the more I took it out on myself. I
would eat at 2 or 3 in the morning just so I could make myself feel comfortable
but all I was doing was letting myself go by not caring. I would walk around
school or work and feel like everyone is staring at me because I was gaining
weight. It got so bad that people started asking if I was pregnant because I
gained so much weight.
But today is the beginning of transforming myself to
live a better life for me. Food can either help you or break you. Being healthy
is not just an easier way to live but also a lifestyle that will help you live
years from now. Making that change isn't easy but just know that in life there
will always be trials and tribulations but with faith anything is possible.
My name is Sade Gonzalez, I am beautiful and being
healthy makes me happy.
I have the same issue with food. Im an emotional eater. I eat all day long luckily i don't gain any weight what so ever. I get the opposite reactions... "why are you so skinny" "are you sick anorexic, etc" you have a point food can make or break you

ReplyDeleteI'm happy to hear that you have transformed not only because you feel better but also because you are motivating others by reading your blogs. I know many people that eat because they are stressed and its good for them to read about how they can actually change their routine and lifestyle.
